I have never had vaccines. I do not want them.  I have never even met someone who has had whooping cough (just my experience).. Also, i believe all these vaccines makes people weaker through generations of depending on these shots to avoid illness. Build my own immune system tolerance. I have plenty of friends who have had vaccinations though it cant hurt i guess, unless it gets you sick.

They offer you it here in the UK between 28-38w as Whooping Cough is once again becoming more prevelent.   Getting vaccinated (with the paediatric dose so it is not harmful to your baby) helps your baby become immune for its first couple months as baby will not get their own whooping cough vaccine until they are two months of age.

If a baby is not vaccinated against it, whooping cough can cause serious complications if transmitted by a baby. These complications include pneumonia and brain damage.    So far in 2013, 13 babies in Scotland who did not have the vaccine died from the whooping cough.   I had the vaccine whilst pregnant and my son hd his vaccine at his 2-month vaccines x

Its a personal preference and besides that I wasn't offered it until after baby was born I'm due any day. You don't know what they put in those shots could be anything so if y'all want to be shot up with who knows what go for it but I was just giving my opinion on it and that I am personally choosing against it. I believe in doing things naturally and those vaccines are not.

Sometimes those "vaccines" they give you actually make you sick and sometimes getting sick is unavoidable even with it. II've never had flu shots and or any of the other vaccines that are not mandatory and have never in my entire life had the flu or even chicken pox for that matter. When the people that Iknow that get the shots every year wind up with it. So not ttrying to be rude but the people that get the shots seem a little more likely to spread it around since they actually put a strand of it in you than those that don't.

What is there to debate getting the vaccine protects your baby after birth before it will have its own vaccines.  Whooping cough is dangerous and can even cause brain damage to your baby why put your child at risk when there is prevention.  @ krissy it is not unnecessary at all

You can wait and get it once the baby is born

I was never vaccinated for it amd actually got whooping cough a few years ago. It was so terrible! I was sick for two months straight and sometimes I would cough so hard I would pass out. Now imagine going through that during pregnancy which already has its own difficulties. I would say get it, but that's just from my experience.

I got it. Why not if you can protect you and your child ya know. It's becoming more prevalent in a lot of areas and whooping cough is not something you mess with... not trying to be rude @krissy but people that don't get the "unnecessary" vaccines are  the people who get and spread the unnecessary measles and what not.

If you live in Texas then I would recommend it since the rate of people who have whooping cough has home up drastically in the past year

Mine offered it to me after I had the baby and I said no. I don't get any vaccines that are really unnecessary.

My doctor also told me that if I didn't want to get it while I'm pregnant I could do it right after the baby is born. I just don't know if I want to wait or not

I did because it also helps the baby too. I would recommend it. I'm going to do it with this pregnancy too.
