orange/reddish urine

Question

This morning I took my usual morning pee and it was an orange/reddish color!!! I'm really freaking out I called my midwife and went to the er ofr a urinalysis like she advised but have yet to hear about my results. Any idea on what this could be? I'm really scared!! Ohh my pee has been normal colored since and I have not drank or eat anything that could have changed it and I'm also not on anymeds! Any advice would be great!!

Its cause ur dehydrated trust me I had that happen to me quite a few times and every time thats what they told the most recent time was a couple months or so ago just drink plenty of water

Just fyi and maybe tmi but you want your urine to be the color of straw or lighter, means you are hydrated. Other posters are right about vitamins if you have been on the that's probably not it, dehydration or a uti most likely is the cause.  Dehydration and utis can cause contractions so that's why drinking lots of water is important.  Good luck.

Did you just start taking the vitamins? If not, that's not likely the cause. Drink lots of water, and relax until you get the results, the urinalysis will show positive for a UTI if you have one, so drink lots and lots, gatorade and powerade are good for rehydrating, and take it easy til you get the results, I'm sure he/she is just fine!

I take the Flintstones vitamin. I asked my midwife if they could have caused it and she just said she wanted to get a urinalysis...so I dunno it could be all of those I just hope my baby is okay I have felt him/her move so hopefully everything is still going good!!

Are you taking vitamins? My turned a dark orange for the awhile after starting vitamins.

Maybe a UTI? I got orangish urine with a UTI, also urine will get REALLY darkish yellow, almost orange if you're dehydrated. Hope you get answers soon and good luck!!!
