Went to midwife early this week and she has confirmed it is Sciatica and if it hasnt cleared in 5 weeks shes sending me for accupunchure. x
Vitamins will not help. It is your hip and pelvis loosening and spreading. The pelvic becomes uneven causing pain and that's what gives a pregnant women that woddle. You need to see a physical therapist who works with pregnancy. They will be able to put everything back in its place and teach you exercises that will help. It really will make you feel better. Unfortunately, there isn't a permanent fix. It's something you'll have to continue with throughout your pregnancy but its worth it. Good luck ladies. Mine got so bad that I was high stepping when I walked before I got help.
Thank you!! I work upstairs and walking up the stairs is just rediculas... seriously feel like all i am doing is moaning to all my family and feel awful as i cant play with my little girl like i normailly would.. Get down on the floor i think id actually have to stay there lol... She understands mummy has pain though and comes and rubs my leg. Just want this silly pain to go away so i can carry on with my life :)
Oh and my doc wrote me sick notes as I could hardly walk so if you need time off work tell them how bad you're suffering with work etc.

Helpfully i can make it into work tomorrow.
This is commonly confused for sciatica but its usually isn't. Since your joints are loosening your hips and pelvic bone are becoming uneven. You should see a physical therapist who is experienced with pregnancy. It will really help. They will teach you exercises that help and will put you back together when ever you need it throughout your pregnancy.
Im 25 weeks and having same problem. Both my sciatic nerves caused me hell with my first pregnancy. This time its my left so far but I get really sore wen I sit for long periods. Try sleeping with a pillow between yr legs its helping me. Its the weight youv gained and pressure on nerves and hips.
Most people confuse this with sciatica even a lot of doctors but its your hip and pelvic spreading. It also becomes uneven. If you go to physical therapy with someone experienced with pregnancy they can help a lot. They will keep putting you back together again. It really is worth it. They also help teach you pregnancy exercises.

It literally feels like a Charlie horse in your buttcheek!mine got really bad yesterday it was constant for about 10 minds usually it only lasts like a few second till i move positions. I'm going to try to go to the chiropractor Monday see if that helps. If not I'm calling my doctor lol im sick of it I've had it about since 17w I'm now 20w4d. I'm not really sure what else to do for it. But i feel your pain chick.

Awww thank you for all your advise it really does mean alot! Will have a trip to the pharmacy soon hopefully something will help :-D
You can get paracetamol with codine from the pharmacy that is safe to take while pregnant and may help. Magnesium, potassium, calcium & vitamin d supplements on top of your pregnancy multi might help too.
Thank you for getting back, I have used heat pads, hot water bottles but its not easing the pain at all! Its really starting to upset me now as I finding it hard to play with my 4 year old
Use heat packs to keep your hip warm. I always found it was impossible to deal with once I was already cold, so it was best to rug up before it got cold in the evenings.
