pedicure started labor?!

Yesterday I got the bombest pedicure ever! 15 minute foot massage, hot towel therapy, sugar exfoliation and polished nails. Sadly I'm paying for it today. I've heard that a foot massage can get your labor started, but I assumed I should worry about that when I was closer to being full term. I'm 26 weeks and I've started to feel some contractions about an hour and a half apart. Could my pedicure be the cause of this?

I had to get two shots to stop my contractions at 36 weeks, and it was all because of dehydration. So yes download a "drink water" app, or w.e you need to do to remind you to drink at least 5-10 glasses a day or 10-12 cups a day. Good luck :)

Unlikely.  But you need to drink tons of water ASAP - being even a little dehydrated can cause cramps or preterm labor.  So get your feet up, get some water, and call your provider if you're still unsure

They could just be Braxton hicks... But as far as the feet thing, I worked at a massage place and the massage therapists were not allowed to touch certain points of pregnant women's feet or hands because of the pressure points that could lead to labor.

I doubt it.  I had pedicures every month of my pregnancies (I like good feet) and never read, heard or experienced anything negative or even pregnancy related as a result of them.  good luck (call your doctor if you are having Braxton hicks)
