I have this same problem . I didn't start to feel this pain with my last pregnancy till bout 36 weeks - till I had him (it didn't dilate me and when it did I was only .5cm till I got induced and still didn't have my baby normal , had him by csection) and with this pregnancy , I've had this pain since I was 3-4 months and I'm 33 weeks and 6 days today . My pain hurts so bad that I can't hardly get outta bed or walk or anything and it feels like someone took a hammer to it and broke it into a million pieces . And I'm always home alone with my 13 month son cause my bf works 6-7 days a week . And I'm still not dilated or effected any .

It depends on the pain your feeling and where exactly in your pelvis, my baby hasn't fully dropped but I'm 60% effaced and a little over 1cm dilated. I had pelvic pain too and that's what my doctor told me was happening.  Just depends on your body,  everyone is different

It's your baby dropping into your pelvis I'm 38 weeks and I've had that since the end of my 35th week it doesn't mean your dilating either..my son had been in my pelvis since 35 weeks and I'm not dialated at all or effaced

What does the pain feel like? It could be your baby starting to drop into position and your cervix dilating
