Question- how long are your cycles and what CD are you on?

Another way to know an estimate of when you should ovulate is by subtracting 14 from your average cycle length. My cycles are 32 days long so I should ovulate on or around CD18 (give or take 3 days).

I really don't know how the OPKs work. I've never used them nor do I trust them. I've seen many people put a lot of stock into those tests and they never get pregnant and wonder why. Observing EWCM is the way I've seen women get pregnant quickly, especially myself.

The reason it took me 13 months to conceive my last pregnancy was because I didn't have any EWCM at all! I found out that it was because I wasn't ovulating so used Clomid. The Clomid jump-started my ovaries, I think, because the following month I had a TON of EWCM and got pregnant on the first shot.

So I can only say that I'm a major advocate for cervical mucous observation because it works amazingly well for us and for some women I know. If you want a baby, BD! I'm eager to see if you get pregnant this time around.

Please know that EWCM can lasts for a few days. Keep BDing until you dry up again.

EWCM is fertile cervical fluid. When you are not fertile, the cervix is tightly shut so that not even microscopic sperm can penetrate or get through. When you begin to ovulate and are in the process of ovulating you will notice a discharge. That means your cervix is opening up a little (not dilating- think of it more like sponge spores opening).

So the EWCM means that you are about to ovulate or are ovulating! BD like mad. This is how I got pregnant 3 out of 4 times (first pregnancy no charting was involved).
