I tried colace when I really couldn't go, I'm talking almost 2 weeks straight. The urgent care dr didn't know what it was and gave me narcotics -.- lol but my ob said to drink some milk of magnesia. It worked like a miracle, I haven't had a problem since then
Drinking a cup of coffee never fails me! Also prune juice works well, and like mentioned above lots of water. Ask your doctor if you can take fiber pills or use the fiber powder in your drinks, or really helps as well
Lol thanks everyone. I am just so cranky since I can't use the restroom and I know its not fair to my fiance cuz I take it out on him. It can't hurt to try out all your methods and I will consult with my doctor also.
I drink like 6oz of prune juice every morning and it works great not the greatest taste but better than being constipated
Try drinking some Orange Juice and then like mommytoobe1 said lots of water!!! My Dr also said to have some OJ when you take your prenatal vitamin. That seems to work for me but everyone is different.
Also drink lots of water and so regular exercise being dehydrated isn't good and could cause constpation also
Always ask your doctor before taking anything since every pregnancy and every person is different but miralax and colace is safe during pregnancy its otc and you can get it at the pharmacy or walmart don't take laxatives or or enemas becaise those aren't safe during pregnancy you can also call a local pharmacist of you have questions about either medicines sometimes when its really bad for me I take both which is also okay but not all the tim. Try eating more fiber daily I use these gummy bear finer chews I take two a day thwy work wonders it helps me go regulary hope this helps:) take care
