piercings during labor ?

When I found out I was pregnant I took all of my piercings out except my tongue ring . I absolutely love my tongue ring and don't want to take it out unless I have too . I just recently put in a plastic bar and balls in so there is no metal in my mouth . Do you think the doctor will let me go through labor with the plastic in ?

I have multiple piercings and didnt have to take out any during my first. The anesthesiologist asked me if my tongue ring twisted out just in case there was an emergency and they needed to remove it. the only thing I don't know about is belly button rings I have one now but did not have it when I had my first.

you have the choice of what piercings you want to take out. you could have kept them all in until delivery !  your tongue ring is not a problem! I kept all my piercings (nips, nose, eyebrow) except my belly ring because I couldn't find a plastic one. My Doc told me yesterday that he had to take a womans vajayjay ring out before .

My sister has gauges and an eyebrow ring and she took all her peircings out exept her eyebrow spacer (plastic bar) and her doc did not make her remove it for the birth. It may just depend on your physician
