Not sure how the Indian card WIC thingy goes, but I'm on WIC as well as food stamps, and It helps out a lot. I juss hate how It's very specific on things you can and cannot buy, and make sure you have to get the correct oz. or you can't get It at all If there's none matching to the criteria and passin' no more than then this many oz. etc.  I'm constantly goin' back and forth In my WIC approval food book to make sure I'm allowed to get It. But other than a few hassles In my end/opinion, It's still very good to get. And here, I get a free electric breast pump ( I don't get It until a month before baby Is born, so not sure If It's good quality) and have a breastfeeding counselor that teaches me everythin' to know about bfing. So either way, I think It should be about the same.

To answer your question whether you use your hubbys status card or go through a wic office you get the same thing. The only difference I noticed between the two different offices. Was the indian office was more personable amd easier to get through.

I think wic is super helpful! The only problem I have is that I live in a small town and the grocery store doesn't always carry the approved grocery items. But other than that it has taken a great amount if stress off my shoulders

i think WIC is nice.... even tho every time ive been in there they have messed something up haha first it was my due date, we were in the end of november nd they had my due date of october (meanin i was wayyyyy over due) haha nd my due dates in march, the next time i went in they had my address at a street ive never ever lived on haha so everytime i go in im juss wondering wats next? but i think its good the things they give me now bein prego... the milk is good cuz we go thru that like crazy! nd all the other stuff... juss the fruits nd vegies $10 worth we dnt really eat that much of, so instead of buyin all fresh stuff we started buyin some canned veggies, nd frozen so they last longer... i cnt judge yet on how its ganna be once i have my daughter tho...

Wic is really great. It can be hard getting all the forms and stuff you need, especially right after you have the baby, but they help out alot

WIC is a great program, and in most states they're really supportive of breastfeeding which is nice. If you do formula feed and your baby needs a formula they don't cover make sure you get a prescription for it from babys pediatrician so that they'll cover it. That can be a pain. When I was just starting out as a nurse I worked for the health department doing WIC appointments :) they can be kind of long, especially if it's a large health department.

Im on WIC but to me it is also very stressful. Here in TN there is soo much to go thru and so many people on it. All my appointments take 4-5 hours. And by the time im done my whole day is gone. Not to mention im starving! But as far as what you get.... you get some pretty good stuff. Especially after baby. For the milk

WIC is a very good program. I am on WIC and it helps a lot with things we need. I have a 2yr old daughter and am pregnant with my second child and they help with food for my daughter as well as myself and when my son come they will provide his too. Which is great especially if your low on financials and need that extra help. I woulnd have made it with out it.

I think it's really helpful for families that need some extra help with groceries. I was never able to qualify because the state thought we made too much money, but my cousin and her husband wouldn't have been able to take care of their three kids without it.
