please help! need advise.

So my son is 2 weeks old. This is my second child. I had to stop breast feeding him 5 days ago. Because of that I got engored which is normal. Happened with my first when I was no longer able to breast feed her. But when my breast started to soften back up I still had hard parts that were tender and they finally dried up and went away except one. I have one very hard spot that is about 3 times the size of a quarter what makes it different from the first experience is instead of it getting better and going away its getting worse. Its not getting bigger but the pain is getting worse. The skin where its at is even bright red and now the pain has traveled up under my armpit and its painful to lift with that arm. This never happened with my first and in so confused. Has anyone had this problem and did you go to your doc about it. If so what did they say it was?

UPDATE:
I just want to thank you guys. I went to the doctor and it is matits. I have a large abses in my breast and I am now on antibiotics.

Thank you guys. Its been like this for 3 days now. My doc office is closed until monday because of the holidays but ill def call them and get in. I hope that isnt too long to wait. Ive been thinking about calling the 24 hour nurse hotline and see if they want me to just go to the hospital since thier going to be closed for the next few days.

Yeah, you don't want to wait too long. You can become very sick.

Ok thank you. Ill call my doctor after christmas because they are closed today amd tomorrow. I did look up the symptoms and I seem to have all the symptoms so im definitely going to call my doctor when they open back up.

If i was you i won't wait the next thing will be high fever i had mastitis with my first born and it has been the worst pain ever u need to go to the doctor fast. I had exactly the same symptoms and they almost did surgery on me because of the amount of days i had waited.

I put my heating pad on it every once it a while but I cant massage it. Its unbearable to even touch. I have an appointment with ym doc dec 7th. Im trying to wait until then but idk if I will because the pain it terrible. Thank for the help. :)

That sounds like mastitis. You'll need to see your doctor. However, warm compresses and massage will help begin to clear it
