plus sized and pregnant

Is anyone else here plus size and pregnant?  If so what are some of your experiences during your pregnancy,  negative or positive.  I'm plus size and am expecting my first baby. It's exciting bit at the same time it's hard having to gain weight when your already scrutinized for being "fluffy" lol any thoughts are welcome!

The great this about being plus sized is that you don't have to gain much weight at all. I was 198lbs and my hospital told me not to put on more then 20lbs. However no one told me this with my first and i ate whatever and put on 37lbs but lost it all. The downside is you are more at risk of developing complications so you have to watch your diet and make sure you're getting enough of the right thing. As this is my 2nd time with preeclamplsia my dr has put me on a special diet and I feel great and baby is growing great so far. Definitely talk to your dr about any concerns you have. Good luck!

I feel much better about this, I was scared at first but then I kind of accepted it because I would do anything for my baby

I'm plus sized with baby #2. My first I had to be watched like crazy and went to the dr every two weeks the whole time and had a lot of high blood pressure issues and was induced at 37 weeks for preeclampsia. But this pregnancy I have only gained 8lbs and I'm 30 weeks. I have no issues at all and actually have a real baby bump this time. I'm having a tough time sleeping because I can't get comfy but that's about it.

I am plus size, pregnant, with my first baby to and bipolar/depression lol. I will be 5 months tomorrow and this pregnancy has been almost perfect. I barely had morning sickness and i dont crave foods i just eat what i have normally eatin before. I can already feel the baby move like crazy but i did drop 4 pounds my last doctors visit. The only problem i am having now is taken a shower. I get sick every time the water hits me. So hopefully your pregnancy is just as good as mine cause i love it ao far!!

I have had a healthy pregnancy even though I'm plus sized. I've gained 11 pounds and I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. I'm showing and can see/feel my baby move. My bump isn't the prettiest, but that doesn't bother me as much as it might bother others.

I've got cushion everywhere,  but am told that I'm healthy.  But lately sleeping has been difficult because I can't get comfortable.  And I'm sure my growing belly is contributing to my discomfort.  I also plan to breastfeed so I hope that's going to help lol

Depends what your idea of plus sized is ...
I'm chubby but I actually got skinnyer now I'm pregnant my face arms etc are getting smaller but my belly is huge bump and my thighs are bigger too.
But I honestly am feeling ok about it I will just have to work hard to slim down after birth... I'm hoping breastfeeding helps.

I was tiny on my first pregnancy
