positive pregancy test negative ultrasound
Hi, i took a home pregnancy test and it was positive, went to the doctor and by the first day of my last menstrual period i am about 8 weeks, i have very irregular periods sometimes i get them every month and 2 weeks sometimes a month and 3 weeks, went for an ultrasound and there was no sac in uterus, my counts are at 500 when i went for the ultrasound, what do you advise, i am having no pain no bleading just a little cramping and lots of breats pain. hope everything is ok. i have 1 son and everything with him went ok no problems so i dont really want to worry about it too much. i dont want to wait anymore. i want to be sure.

If your hCG is 500, you're more than likely far too soon to see anything on an ultrasound. While levels do NOT indicate how far you are, they would be normally associated with someone who is 4-5 weeks pregnant. Irregular cycles mean you can't go off of them, so you will just have to keep having blood work done, and a repeat ultrasound in a few weeks.
