You can also try lavender oil baths and camomile baths but iron rich foods will give you the best relief
I just tried to set in a hot bath and why i was in there my legs were fine but as soon as i got out they started up again
My legs don't get painful just irriating but have you tried hot water bottles they might help to relax your muscles and ease the cramps
Yea it's annoying for us too cuz we have no control over it. I was going to just wait till i went to the doc but it's getting worse i think and it's very pain full but i want to see if that is normal and if u ladies had anyway of helping it.
I am genuinely in shock that I didnt know this and find it weird that you posted this topic. The only reason i clicked this thread was out of curiousity because i cant stop moving my legs right now I didnt know anything about rls. I'm gonna bring it up to my midwife next week O.o it annoys my bf when I move my legs because it shakes the bed and it gets on his nerves but I cant help it
I have had severe anemia since I was around 6 or 7 and eating a lot of spinach has helped me so much! Also potato skins have a good amount of iron if you will eat them
That explains a lot cuz I've been low iron my whole life
Oh and you can also try moving your ankles in circles before bed I heard that helps to
Yea it's the worst part of my pregnancy. :(
It is a very common sign of an iron deficiency, I drink spinach smoothies everyday to make sure my iron levels are okay. Stretching also helps a lot.
I have also just read that iron deficiency anaemia can be a cause of rls and I am severely anaemic. O.o wow
I've tried the pillow thing and it didn't help so I will definitely try the bath and stretchs. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and I'm hoping she can give me some ideas on what to do. Thanks ladies
I have to take warm or hot bath just fr my legs...I had my hubby rub my legs with icy hot...I used to crack my toes ankles even my knees and it only made it worse heating pads work fr the tingly feeling...what kills me is the rain and winter
I had to Google what this was and now it explains why I'm always moving my legs
I'm doing it right now because if I keep them still my legs feel really weird and annoyingly achy but not sore. It gets worse when I'm trying to sleep at night
You can try taking a nice bath that always help for me or having a body pillow between your legs :)
Got it so bad second trimester i looked up strtches on youtube and started the day off with them helped so much
