This pain could be a bunch of different things.  I had the pain in the one side that almost made me double over at times.  I thought ectopic, but sure enough it was in the uterus.  It can be a sign of a normal pregnancy, period, ovulation, cyst, ectopic....  the one that is most concerning is ectopic so I would look up the other symptoms of that and keep an eye on them.    good luck!

noi didn't feel sick at all, i'm on my fourth healthy pregnancy now and had terribe morning sickness with all of those. the pain wasn't constant but it did intensify, was most of the time i had the pain and i wasn't in any doubt that i was having an ectopic pregnancy. a hcg test at the dr's is the right way to go and you do have the time to wait till thursday for that. best of luck.

and if it is an ectopic pregnancy, you are in danger if it goes undetected and once you get to about 8 weeks pregnant. around this stage the tube will burst, casing you to bleed internally. this is fatal. joy was quite correct about quantitive hcg tests, i had those over a period of a week and it was only then that the hospital agreed to do an ultrasound, which showed what may be a cyst or sac right outside my right ovary. then surgeons checked with a camera whilst i was under anaesthetic and detected and removed the fetus, ovary and tube.

Omg......ok I don't think that's what it is. I was getting kinda scared for a min. But it may hae been ovulation I just never was late. My doctor told me if I don't come on in a week (by thursday) then to come in for another blood test to determin if I am preggo. I'm just so confused. Thanks for helping me out on this one! We've been trying for a while! I was actully suppose to get the whole sperm washing procedure done with my spouse but my lil friend never came to visit! I hope for the best! Thanks!

joy has a point, you could just be ovlating late but if you yourself are i any doubt, go to er. they will give you a pregnancy test. not to scare you but if you are having an ectopic, time is of the essence. god knows what would have hapened if i hadn't suspected mine so quick and repeatedly turned up at a and e ( er ) until they checked and found it.

i've had an ectopic pregnancy. i detected the pregnancy before my missed period with a normal hpt. it took me 2 weeks of arguing with the hospital for them to agree that i was pregnant and that it was an ectopic. the first symptom for me was pains in one side, where my ovary and tube were.  I then began to bleed like hell, with clots. If ou suspect you're having an ectopic, get yourself straight to er

Ectopic pain doesn't usually come and go. It is usually intense and gets more painful. It is dangerous- it will cause the tube to burst and you'd have internal bleeding.

Are you sure you might not be ovulating late? It sounds like it could've been ovulation pain.

Sometimes with ectopic you won't get a positive result. You could always get a quantative HCG test with your doctor. But unless you're having severe cramping, especially on one side, it might not be that you have an ectopic pregnancy.
