That's great news, happy for you!
That's awesome!!! Happy for you!!!
Hello all,
I just got back from the doctors. My HCG levels are at 58,000. He said he does not know why they dropped or if it was a lab error but he said that by the looks of it baby is perfectly fine and that 58000 is a really good HCG level. He said no pregnancy is EVER guaranteed but we have more reason to be optomistic than pessimistic. So, it sounds like things are good. Thanks everyone for your responses.
I miscarried two years ago and that's how they found out I was miscarrying. I went back in for another ultrasound just like you and baby waS still fine and they did another set of hcg tests and it dropped again. I did end up miscarrying but good luck and god bless
Yeah, results done at 2 different location most likely vary because the use different machine for testing. And it is a slight variation (even though it doesn't seems to be)
Another reason is that you body does reach a peak for HCG levels and hen begins to taper off. Truthfully, that more commonly doesn't happen until the 2nd trimester (weeks 17-24) but you never know.
Stay positive and relaxed. Ask questions and get 2nd opinions if needed..
I had my blood taken again this morning and will go see my doc this evening. Hopefully we get some good results. :)
That may be the reason ask for another I had different numbers from different labs congrats
Yes. the first set was down at the hospital in my home town and the second was done at the hospital in the city where I live now.
One thing to keep in mind, that HCG levels don't rise the entire pregnacy, they do reach a pick then start to drop again! Usually for HCG levels to drop the pregnancy has to be non viable. But, you have a growing baby with a beautiful heartbeat so, I wouldn't be worried at this point if I were you, i wouldn't be concerned.. Best wishes :)
Did 2 different labs do your blood work?
I'm not sure how it works with HCG and miscarriage (if the hormone drops first, then the fetus...goes, or if it's the other way around) but you can have bad cramping as your uterus grows. I would give it more time! It's stressful to have a dr tell you you're miscarrying and you see a perfectly good heartbeat. Stay positive! And make them keep monitoring your levels and see if there's anything you can do about it.
