So Lost...So Confused...

So, as many know I got my BFP on Thurs 10/28.  Well I went to the doctor and got my blood taken and spoke with the doctor.  He is NOT putting me on blood thinners or anything like that he said since I already have a history of miscarriage then it would only increase my chances of miscarriage.  So, anyway he put me on progesterone because I have a lot of history low progesterone.  Anyway, the doctor ordered me to come back on Friday 10/29 and have my blood taken again...he said he knew it wouldn't double but he wanted to make sure it was going up.

They called me yesterday afternoon with the results from Thursday.  They said I was more than likely going to miscarry again.  My progesterone was so low and my hcg also.  My doctor is on call this weekend so he said as soon as he got my resluts from yesterday (Friday) then he would call me today.

Anyway...I'm having a problem b/c if my hcg is low..then would it be because I ovulated late?  I took an OPK on CD 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.  All came back negative.  I should have started af no later than that 18th of October.  I took a pregnancy test on Thursday the 14th b/c 28 days would have been the 15th it was negative (w/ digital)...I tested on Saturday 16th b/c I was officially late and negative (w/ first response).  I tested again on Tuesday 19th b/c it was CD 32 again negative (w/ first response) so started spotting/light streaking on the 22nd of October and have done that through now and it's still going.  Thursday I got up and was feeling off and a little sick...so I tested and the positive line came up b4 the control.  So, if I didn't get a positive when I should have for me to be 6 weeks today..then I ovulated late right?

I'm confusing myself and really just wish I knew if the baby was okay and if I was going to be okay...I dreamed about babies all night last night.

shasy03, I am 99.9 percent positive that was what she had.  Progesterone won't be all that needs to be done.  You may need to switch doctors if this one does not know what to do.  I urge you to try to contact Laura.  There is another regular on here with the same problem.  It is waitn838.  She actually lost a baby when she was like 15 or 16 weeks.  It was really sad.  Then she had a couple of miscarriages after that.  She would have continued to miscarry had she not been diagnosed.  I know that you have to be put on special medications though.  I urge you to PM waitn838.  She is on here more.  I wish you the best of luck though.  I know with the right help, you will have lots of babies!!!

jenkaye-that's what I keep saying...it's like I'm terrified to go to the bathroom but when I do nothing ever happens maybe brown/pink when I wipe but it's barely there...I just wish I knew how far along I was it might ease my mind but then again it might make stress worse.

Michele- I will look her up and see what's there.  Thank You!  I know they found out that I do have MTHFR so it's causing this and I do have low progesterone.  So, they just don't know how to fix it.  However, my doctor said that if I do miscarry this time..he will always keep me on progesterone b/c he thinks that will help.

petite-That's something I WILL fight.  I will go get a second opinion before I go through that.  I'm feeling pretty good this morning and really haven't been bleeding or spotting most the day yesterday and today.  Hopefully it will stop and I will have a happy heathly nine months.

Shasy,

I would not get a d&c until you know for sure.  If you are "going to miscarry", you should try to wait it out as long as possible.  You really could have ovulated late and the doctors are just assuming the worst because of your history... I really hope you hear from the doctor and there was a rise in your HCG levels..

Really hoping things show some positive signs!

shasy03, there is another poster on here that had a history of miscarriages as well.  She had no problem getting pregnant.  She just couldn't seem to stay that way.  They finally found out what the problem was and she recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy.  She was so frustrated on her miscarriages, that she almost got permanently "fixed".  She is only like 24 or 25 too.  Her screen name is laura1985.  She is one of my friends on here.  You should really look at her profile and her story.  I wish you so much luck!

Thanks Mumita.  I am not taking Omega 3's.  I'm kinda scared to because I'm allergic to fish and with it being fish oil I don't know if I would be or not.

I told DH tonight that I was not getting a D&C unless I got an ultrasound first.  There is no way I'm putting myself thru something like that and there be a possibility that I ovulated late and just not as far along.  It's stressful.  The doc still hasn't called today.

I will probably go back to the doctor on monday and have another blood test done...and see where I stand.  I'm so hoping that this one works out.

the dr doesn't want to prescribe blood thinners but do take Omega 3's or fish oil,  they are not powerful blood thinners but they use it in Europe same as they use baby aspirin in the US, it helps to oxigenate your blood etc and it is recommended to take during pregnancy unlike aspirin or other blood thinners. I had a miscarriage and I've had two successful pregnancies while taking fish oil supplements, I'm a true believer.
If you did ovulate late then the hcg's wouldn't rise that fast, however just take it easy because your body will do what its supossed to do one way or another, if its a viable pregnancy you will find out soon enough and if it isn't your body will tell you otherwise...try to avoid a DnC, if you have a miscarriage try to let your body do it on its own, its safer for future pregnancies.

Also, I may just be speaking too soon...but I normally clot during the pregnancies that I have had and I haven't had the 1st clot.  They are normally little in size.  It may be that I haven't began to miscarry yet.

petite- I have been doing only brown blood and it's only like a once a day it's a streak.  Then when I wipe nothing.  I feel fine...a little headache and quezy...but nothing to bad.

They think I will miscarry again because my numbers are so low...and my progesterone is also.  They are looking at yesterdays numbers today and will call me.  However, they were not 48 hours apart so there won't be much of a rise but he is looking for some kind of rise.  To make sure they are not going down.  I'm just confused and lost...this is the 5th prengnacy for us and no children.  I'm hoping we got progesterone quick enough and it will be viable.

Im sorry this is happening.  I know how bad you want to have this baby.  Its so scary and Icouldnt imagine going through what you have.  Doctors are weird though.  You have a history of miscarriage and so its easy for them to expect you to miscarraige again.  They keep saying our bodies dont ovulate like clockwork. its very possible you ovulated later.  You will have to wait to hear from your doctors result.   The spotting is nto a good sign but you are not the first person to experience spotting and alot of people have spotting and carry to term.  Maybe take another test (not ditigal) to seei f the line is getting darker, over the next couple days.

HCG levels are so tricky in the early stages of pregnancies... they vary so much. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping for the best for you...

Aw, I'm so sorry this is happening to you.  It does sound like you ovulated late, that could be why your numbers are low.  Is that why they think you will m/c again?  I thought they needed at least two sets of numbers to compare...
Hoping you hear good news today.
