unfortunately, i haven't talked to my ob-gyn yet.. since it's a holiday today.. i'll visit her tomorrow.. thanks for your comment guys! I really appreciate it..
BTW,when i had a miscarriage..I took TVS (transvaginal) ultrasound.. and they said my uterus is clean and no need for a curettage.. after two  weeks i took another test and it was negative.. so i thought it was okay..
and then there, after a month, since we're having sex again.. i was having a light spotting and when i checked.. boom! it was 2 lines.. i hope you guys are okay.. good luck to us!

New Pregnancy Study

No wait needed for pregnancy after miscarriage

For the best pregnancy outcomes, when should a woman try to conceive again after a miscarriage? The sooner the better, a new study suggests. Scottish researchers looked at data for nearly 31,000 women who became pregnant after an initial miscarriage. Compared to women who conceived 6 to 12 months after their miscarriage, those who became pregnant again within 6 months were 34% less likely to miscarry a second time. They were also less likely to have an ectopic pregnancy, a cesarean or preterm delivery, or a low-birth-weight infant. The highest risks of a second miscarriage and other pregnancy complications were seen among women who conceived more than 24 months after miscarriage. The findings run contrary to current guidelines by the World Health Organization to wait at least half a year to conceive after having a miscarriage, which affects approximately one in five pregnancies.

Yes, definitely possible.  I miscarried in mid-Sep but it lasted for weeks.  FInally stoppe bleeding in mid- October and got pregnant again Oct. 28.  Had a healthy baby boy 9 months later.

Did your doctor dod bloodwork after your m/c?  Mine did bloodword every few days until my levels reached zero.  That's hpw I knew for sure it was a new pregnancy and not left over hormones.  Since it's been 7 + weeks, I would guess that it is a new pregnancy, but it is hard to know for sure.
Good luck!
BTW, I am currently pregnant again and having spotting but so far everything is fine.  Some women just spot during pregnancy; try not to worry too much about it.  I would take another test and/or get a blood test done by your doc.

If you have been having unprotected sex, then yes it is possible.  You can test again in a few days with first morning urine to be sure or go get a blood test done..  The HCG that are measured by the test may have been different so one test was less sensitive than the other...
