tmi! but I need help

Can I take stool softener??? I am hurting an I need something I can't remember the last time I was able tto go... If not softeners what's something else I could use?

My doctor says I can take miralax  and you can also use metamucil it just has a lotta fiber but doesn't work as good.

Yes. Stool softeners like Colace are perfectly safe. Lots of water and lots of walking too.

Thank you ladies I've only been able to go 3 times in 12 wks an it's making me so sick I'm going to the store right away thank you

Id Call Your Doctor Because They Know Your Situation The Best! My Doctor Actually Prescribed Me Something  Because She Doesn't Want Me Pushing Since I'm  Dilating And Have Been On Bedrest For Almost 8 Weeks!

My doctor prescribed me something for it and it has been great! I would say talk your doctor!

Even though it's for gas relief, I take Gas X if I am feeling that way. It helps.

I have a prenatal apt on Thursday so I can ask him about it then cause its awful

At this point it is definitely possible you may be impacted - 3 bowel movements in 12 weeks? It's pretty late to be asking those questions!! Honestly at this point I would start with the miralax and call your provider and tell them what your situation is. They may suggest an enema to try to clear you out. No wonder you feel terrible. Definitely at this point seek advice from your doctor but you can start with an OTC treatment to try to get things moving.
