pregnancy dos and donts?!

I had a thought last night whether it's a good one I don't know.

Anyway there are obviously a lot of first time mummys on here like moi completely confused about what's ok and not ok to do during pregnancy things like food, exercise etc etc.

I was wondering if some mums who have been through the pregnancy malarkey already would mind sharing their thoughts opinions.

I know everyone will have their own ideas but would be nice to have a generalised view on things if you know what I mean?

Since you're ftm...my best advice to you would be to get a body pillow...especially having twins. My bed is FULL of pillows and my husband only uses one:) they will become a necessity by the time your in your 3rd teimester. Trust me.

I drink coffee every day. My Dr told me it's ok as long as I dont drink like the whole pot or whatever.  My first pregnancy I was crazy about those laughing cow cheese rounds the kind that come in the wax. I had no idea I wasn't supposed to eat them lol. I ate them literally every day.

Ive ate all of this. I still drink soda, don't heat up my lunch meat unless I'm at subway, and I love soft serve. I was only told no shark, limit caffeine, and no alcohol.

I used to heat all my lunch meat an hour before I wanted it and stick it back in the fridge so that I could still have it cold. Ham was the one I really worried about that was it. And soft serve ice cream I found out is a no no as well. I don't know why I don't eat ice cream so I didn't read into it to deeply but hard ice cream is fine. And any soft cheeses are not ok. Those are the few things I learned my first time around.

Lunch meat isnt good for you to begin with lol dont eat raw eggs (sunny side up, etc.) raw fish, fish high in mercury (tuna, etc.) caffeine (i think two cups a day is considered okay though, makes me sick so i dont drink it lol) obviously alcohol, drugs, cigarette.....um....really my dr said to eat healthy and if i slip and eat deli meat a couple times or tuna its not dramatic. Pop is also to be avoided but i still drank some lol drink lots of water, lots of veggies and fruits. Basically just follow ur food pyramid daily and youll be just fine

Honeslty with all 3 of my kids I ate cold subs and had no issues. If I were at subway I get them toasted but if I got one from the food store persay I didn't, just watch your intake. Same as anything else, caffine fish Etc

Yes, like the kind you get in a bag or on a cold sub. But I still eat it anyways lol they want to reduce your chances of getting food borne illnesses but the way I see it is, I've never gotten sick from it before so I'm gonna go on my merry way and still eat it lol

Lunch meat can carry bacteria. But as long as you heat it up first, it's okay.
