IS it normal to have so many dizzy spells.

So this morning, I woke up. I got really dizzy. I wrote it off as getting up too quickly. but now I've had like 5-7 more dizzy "spells". I've drank enough water, i just had lunch. but I can turn my head and i'm really dizzy. Is this normal?

i was like that between 6-8 weeks off and on all day long, then it has slowed down to maybe once or twice a week sometimes not at all, but if you are feeling faint and having heart palpitations a lot then it could be anemia, gest. diabetes, or even anxiety which i have experienced with my son and this pregnancy as well.......just get as much fluids and rest as you can...i wish u the best of luck!!!!!1

Sometimes I do feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. I'm not craving ice though. Thanks you guys!

sweetangel, funny you should mention anemia.  I haven't felt all that dizzy (except when I bend down), but I have been craving ice chips and people have asked, Are you anemic?  I had forgotten there was a connection between craving ice and having low iron, but apparently there is.

jen, if you are also craving ice, or have a racing heartbeat, these are signs (along with dizziness) of having anemia, very common in pregnancy.  Easy to fix, too, with supplements!

No, I don't think this is normal...definitely get it checked out...could be something with anemia or gestational diabetes etc.  Good luck!

I get really dizzy when I bend down (like to pick something up).  I've noticed that for weeks now, and I don't remember it from previous pregnancies.  Not sure why it happens, though.  But if it is really bad (like you might pass out or fall), I would call the doctor, just to be safe.
