pregnancy

HI

I recently had a m/c May 1 2010  i was about 6 weeks along they were never able to find fetus just sac so it ended up as a natural mc. June 2 i took pg test and it came back positive and today im having some bleeding which worries me is it possible that i got a false positive? after mc i went to dr to make sure my hcg levels decresed and they decresed all the way to 6 after that the doctor said it wasn't necessary to schedule another appointment. Has this happened to anyone else???

I suggest you retest first thing in the morning using a good test.

Women are very fertile after a miscarriage and can certainly get pregnant a few weeks later.  The problem with getting pregnant so soon after a miscarriage is that hormone levels can be out-of-whack which can sometimes cause another miscarriage.  This is the reason you will need to see a doctor if you are pregnant as hormone supplements can be given (if needed).

Do you have  a regular doctor or OBGYN you can see?  ER doctors are significantly more expensive  than a regular doctor.

yeah i guess with all the stress i encountered and those high ER bills i wanted to wait before going to the dr but i will have to schedule a appointment should i retest right away or give it a week??? i just hope nothing was left with my mc since i gor pregnant so soon if i am really pregnant.

False positives are very rare if the test is performed correctly.  HCG levels of 6 or less would not give a false positive on a HPT.

Take another test for confirmation.  If you are pregnant, you will need to call your doctor right away because bleeding during pregnancy is not common and needs to be investigated.
