Thank you. i will still try my hardest to quit once i get a BFP. But until that comes, I just cant get the motivation up to quit. Sometimes i hear the first trimester is the most important but then sometimes i hear as long as you quit within the first semester, everthing should be okay. Then again, that is only if I truly am preg. Now can anyone give me their opinion if there is that possibility ill get a BFP. I know i need to take a test to confirm but the suspense is killing me! I cant seem to wait any longer. It shouldve already shown up by now.
I quit smoking with my daughter whom was my first born, did everything right like I was supposed to, and still lost her. I smoked heavily 2 packs a day with all 3 of my other children. My oldest who is 6 is perfectly healthy, my 4 yr old also is very healthy, a little short(i'm 4'9) lol but is hardly ever sick. My youngest who will be 2 in Oct is also very healthy thus far. I am 13 weeks pregnant with my 5th baby, and I still smoke. Some times it's heavy smoking, depending on the stress and hormones, and other days I can keep it down to half a pack a day or less.
I NEED to quit smoking, pregnant or not, however I just don't seem ready to do so, and anyone who is not ready to quit usually is not very successful at doing so. I am also very allergic to most quit-smoking aids, so I have to do it cold turkey, which is harder.
The only issues I can honestly say I had with my children were the fact that a couple days after birth they seemed to have withdraws from the nicotine, but other than that they are and were very healthy.
All 4 tests were first morning urine, as well as early results tests. And honestly, Im trying not to go to my doctor because I just lost my insurance. I suppose I could try a free urine test from planned parenthood, but arent those basically the same as home pregnancy tests? Thank you for the reply =] Now, from your opinion, with only the few "symptoms" Im having, is there still a high chance of me being pregnant?
Are you using your first morning urine? If not I would use that because it has the most concentrated levels of HCG in it. Also if you can't for some reason use your first morning urine then wait at least 3 hours to go to the bathroom and don't drink so that your urine is diluted. It is possible that you may have ovulated a little later and it just may not be showing up yet. Also some people, for whatever reason, do not show up positive on a urine test for a little bit. Are you using an early results test? I would also use one of those as well if you are not as their detection levels are lower. You can also try a digital for no guesswork involved. I would say that if your next test is negative and you still don't have your period then you should call your doctor. They may want to check your HCG levels and see if your numbers are elevated. They may also want to do some other blood work just to see if your hormones are ok and if your thyroid levels are ok as well. Good luck and I hope you find your answer out soon.
