pregnant and finding a job

Im gonna be 6 months pregnant. And i gotta find a job. But alot of people are telling me that noone is gonna hire me . Because im. Prego and only have a few more months to go.. is it worth looking for work or should i keep trying anyways.?

It depends on where you live the laws are different everywhere! Unfortunately the fact that most of the time at 6 months you are showing they can see it and can make up another excuse as to why you were not hired! Which is upsetting but extremely true

You should try doing office work...or babysitting...put yourself out there fix up your resume. Sometimes if you are good at doing too many things the employer will feel you are overqualified. That's happened to me a lot.

That's what I mean, sorry. If being pregnant makes you unfit for the job, they can turn you down. It's a safety concern and liability issue for them.

I think it depends on the type of job and work you will be doing if they are allowed to turn you down or not. It is against the law though. Maybe not everywhere. I've been looking for a job since I got pregnant. I do random babysitting jobs off of care.com or pet sitting. I'm 35 weeks

The odds of you getting hired so late in your pregnancy are very slim. Many jobs have requirements, like you must be able to lift a certain weight, or stand for so long. They can't deny you a job simply for being pregnant,  but since most pregnant ladies can't lift they don't meet the job requirements.

False, anyone can turn you down because your pregnant. It's a medical condition that they can cite as unfit to work. Just so you don't try and make that argument. Go to a temp agency and see about p/t summer jobs. They are your best bet

Keep looking. No one can't turn you down because your prego ....that's against the law. Just look for part time or a temp job.

Keep trying. The only way it's impossible is if you don't try. Somebody out there usually takes a chance on us. Especially if you are wanting a job after baby..and if you do than I would make sure they know that you'll come back afterwards. Goodluck! (:
