Michelle1288~ I was on Oxycodone during my last pregnancy closely managed by pain mgmt and my OBGYN. I was on 5mg every 4 hrs I think.

If you only took it once or twice or so it won't affect the baby. it's in the system around 30days at max unless they test the baby's first poo then it'll show.

What strength tablet did you take and did you take it whole or did you crush it?
I have heard they are highly addictive however whether it is safe to take them during pregnancy has not been established.
If you only took it once, you should be ok, but children who are born to mothers who were taking it for a prolonged period of time may exhibit respiratory depression or withdraw symtpoms.
If your concerned, speak with your doctors, especially if you are getting pain, as they can hopefully give you something that is known to be safe.

Hey, during my first pregnancy I was prescribed several different kinds of pain meds. I was taking loratab 10's daily and was monitored by my OB and Neurologist weekly. My little boy is now almost 4 and he is fine. I did get prescribed to "Roxys" for a short time which are basically the same thing as oxy cotton but a lower dose and they don't have the same buffers in them. The doctor said they were a class B drug, and the only reason I couldn't take them is because I got sick from them. He said the only worry is about the baby being addicted and told me not to worry. But I'M not a doctor, just telling you my story. Good luck to you!
