pregnant with food poisoning at 28 weeks

this is kind of gross, i was eating at a fastfood restaurant lastnight and my burger ended up being undercooked..i  woke up at 6am and have had liquid like diareah all day, i got sick at 8am and ive been having to go to the bathroom first every 15min then every half hour..now its died down its about 6pm now but im scared to go to the washroom again cause it hurts kinda burns now..does anyone know  how to soothe this so it doesnt hurt..i cried the last time i tried to go to the bathroom. i took all my prenatal vitamins an hour apart just in case i got sick, and i ate an orange and half a banana and 2 1/2 bottles of water so far..i want to feel better ugh!!!!! my mom and boyfriend think i should go to the hospital but if its just from a burger undercooked it should be no big deal right?

i feel much better now and realize that using baby wipes with aloe instead of tissue really helped, eating some chicken noodle soup after sleeping helped it took till at least midnight to feel better and going to the washroom eve though i was scared it was going to hurt helped so i wouldnt be causing an infection inside with whatever poisoned me..and making things worse..feel much better today.

Depends on if it had ecoli or some other contaminates. It would hurt to go and get looked at even to make sure you are hydrated enough because dehydration can bring on contractions.
I hope you are ok and feel better very soon

Preparation H I believe? I wouldn't quote me on that because I'm not entirely sure. A soak in a baking soda bath can soothe your bottom as well. Staying hydrated and eating fruit is a great idea.

I don't think you need to go to the hospital at this point. But food poisoning CAN be serious so it's important to watch symptoms. Some people react differently. A slight fever and diarrhea can clear it up in a day or two. Other people become lethargic, very feverish, unable to keep anything down, become severely dehydrated, etc.

So long as you don't have a fever (anything above 100.4 Fahrenheit requires a call to your doctor) and you can keep food and liquids down and rest... I think you'll be fine. I was certified in food sanitation and safety several years ago so I feel confident in my recommendation.
