pregnant

I'm pregnant, and I was trying to get an abortion but I don't have the money for it. I was in a car accident, and required x-rays to make sure my neck wasent broken. I had been takeing flexeril, and just doing everything wrong and I'm so worried if I do end up keeping (which is more then likely whats going to happen. Have I severly hurt the baby?

It's difficult to say. What do you mean you're everything wrong? Flexeril is a Category B, so it's seen to be safe to take during pregnancy as long as your doctor knows you're using it and taking it as said.

You should be fine. You can still apply for insurance through your state. Find a good ob and explain your situation to them to get more info on the risks.

I agree that things are likely to be fine. Just make sure to let your doctor know about the things you're taking if they don't already. The hospital I go to has really good insurance and benefits, so I'm unaware of what other places carry and how good/bad they are.

I was prescribed Flexaril and Perococet (amongst many other medications) during both of my previous pregnancies and Percocet and other pain meds during this one, due to kidney problems.  Both of my children are perfectly beautiful and healthy and there is every indication that my unborn baby is doing great as well.  I know it can be a huge worry when you are taking medications during pregnancy, and if you can avoid taking them that is, of course, preferable.  But, I have seen many women on this forum who have also been prescribed the flexaril while pregnant and some that have been prescribed percocet and other narcotic pain medications too.  So, please do not think just because you have taken these medications that you have harmed your baby.  It is highly likely that your baby is and will be just fine!  Good luck!

10 weeks, i've also taken percocet pretty early in. I'd hurt my back preventing a patient fall and thats why i'd taken medicines. I do have insurance but it's through the hospital I work for so that should pretty much say how well that covers. >.<

I know sometimes it goes away on it's own, but the only ways I know to treat it is by medicines. If untreated in pregnancy it can cause preterm labour among other complications. Have you tried to get on insurance? The government provides insurance to pregnant women so that you can get the proper care you need. It should also cover medicines and treatments needed. Get a second opinion about the Flexeril if you're still unsure. From my understanding (and the rating it's given) it's not expected to cause any harm to the child. Some doctors just don't want pregnant women to ever use medicines. How far along are you?
