being induced, help with questions

I think this would be more aimed at over due moms that have been induced.
I am 41 weeks as of today, 2cm 80% thinned and she so low the doctor can feel her when I was checked last week.
I am being induced at 41 weeks and 3 days. The 19th.
I was wondering what steps did they take with you and how long where you in labor and pushing for?
Thanks

Dont stress. Im sure you will be in good hands, and lets be honest...it will be what it will be and there is very little if anything you can do to change that. So hold on tight and enjoy the ride! Word of advice...have as much sex as possible...that is a great way to start the labor train and skip pit on induction ;-)

My mom, i would be happy with that. My older brother 18 hours..me less then 1 hour of labor and a few good pushes....really my mom had no pain from contractions, but was having them so she went in just to be checked and well I was ready to come out! I came so quick my dad missed it.
I think I am more fearful of being one of the ladies that there for the 3 days or nothing happens and I end up with c-sections.I guess I am also a little worried to bc between my 1 and 2nd none stress test the fluids dropped. They said below normal but nothing yet to worry about. I've not had a easy pregnancy so i think i keep bracing my self for the worst but hope for the best!

I worked in labor and delivery for several years nd have seen many moms like you. I dont want to burst your bubble, but dont get excited about 2 cm. Women walk around for weeks at 2, 3, and even 4 cm without knowing.  Your doctor will determine whether you get pit or a cervical ripening agent like cervidil or cytotec. Sometimes you end up w both. I have seen moms like you go in as fast as two hours or as slow as 24+. Your labor will be your labor and will progress according to your individual factors. Im only saying this because people assume that their experience will be like somebody's they talk to or know. Best likelihood? Ask your mom how her labor went. It probably still wont be the same, but it will be more like hers than all the other yahoos who get on here and think they know everything because they have a kid or two. Good luck my dear!!! You will do great and have your own individual experience that is exactly as it should be!
