I dont get to have a baby shower so we have to buy everything. We started when I was ten weeks. Just a couple things at a time.

Im trying to buy a couple big things a month so by the time I have a baby shower ill only need small stuff and by the end I wont be so overwhelmed about money.  Its never too soon as long as you dont wait until your due date because there are many people who do and end up rushing because baby comes early.

Id say little by little is good. Never too early. My family thought i was crazy but my bf didnt wanna depend on no one or a shower how hard times are right now. So hed perfer to get the big things out the way. I started at 18 weeks when i found out the gender. It was just easier for me to go by color. I got little clothes, bibs, sanitizers, detergents, grooming kit, shower stuff, baby bag, bouncer, play mat, stroller/carseat, swing, pack n play, and just one pack of new born diaper since i know ill get alot at my showers. Wanna see what ill get there and go from there to shop at coscos. 29+1 .. paying my crib set tom and picking it up next week.

We started buying early on such as diapers and wipes every now and again when we had extra money. We didn't buy many diapers because we didn't know if our son was going to be allergic to a certain brand. We have over 1000 wipes, clothes we didn't buy much because my family bought most of his clothes and I got hand me downs from my sister, and bathroom stuff I got a lot from my shower. We were ready for the baby completely by 35 weeks with his bed up and changing table up. We washed his clothes when I was 37 weeks. And now I am due to be inducted on Sunday night. If you buy little things here and there it will help you have a stock so that when your low on money and can't afford to buy anything you can just use what you already have.

I'm 32 weeks and have everything I need. It's better to get it done early. I don't have to stress out about anything. I bought a crib,  swing, and a bouncer when I was 16 weeks. Now it's just a waiting game. I think you can buy things right away,  a little at a time so it's not so overwhelming.

I got every single thing at 13 weeks! I'm due in 5 days. It's never too early. By the time I had my baby shower I had extras.

I would say it's never to early to start buying for the baby. I am 26 weeks and have bought diapers, wipes, a crib, a carseat, clothes, and a swing. I think it is easier to buy over time. I am waiting to buy some things until after my baby shower. Good luck!
