preparing without knowing gender?

I had my anomaly scan on thursday, my baby couldnt be anymore perfect but was on an awlward position so couldnt find out the sex. I was really hoping too so i could prepare properly for their arrival. Everywhere i look theres boy and girl sections and not a lot of neutral clothes! Its getting me down cause im worried i wont have enough for the baby and i really cannot afford to throw £65 at another scan to possibly find out the gender :(

I did drink some fizzy drinks before going as i heard that made the baby more active.. And had a full bladder. Im thinking to just get a couple of packs of white vests, babygrows.. A few hats bibs and mittens and hope it ties me over for the firsts couple of weeks. Thanks for ur replies ladies :)

I didn't know with my first daughter and it was a pain in the backside!! When she was born all I wanted was pink stuff but already so much neutral stuff I didn't want to buy anything til she grew out of what I had! My advice is just buy the basics in neutral like vests and onsies and just one or two outfits coz when u give birth and find out the sex you can buy all the outfits you want in either pink or blue!!

I am not going to find out.... I didn't with my 2 other children. To begin with you only need very little for the first few days ..... Then people will buy you things when baby is born..... And after a few weeks you will be out and about with the baby so can buy what you like :)

If you really want to know the gender ( like I did ) I would schedule another scan and a little while before the scan drink something with a lot of sugar in it so. If your baby is not cooporating the tech can be sure to make the baby wiggle If its not already because of the sugar! :) but If I was in your situation I would feel much better about spending extra money on another scan then lots of money of yellow and green clothes until the baby is born.
