preterm??

Ladies what is preterm labor? I hear and see that a lot.

Preterm labor is anything before 37 weeks. Contractions basically. So they give you pills to take everyday so it can relax the uterus. And some ladies get a shot at the hospital to stop the contactions. Then put on bed rest for a while. But you still get Braxton Hicks. I started having contractions at 32 weeks told my doctor about it and was told to rest and have to take medication every night but still get Braxton Hicks so doctors tell women they can stop taking the pills at 36 week and some say 37 week

Labor before the baby is to term or considered fully developed. Youre considered full term at 37weeks so labor starting before that would be preterm
