They will keep baby in NICU as long as they think is necessary. My daughter was there for 47 days and is doing great! Can't even tell she's preemie! She's even ahead for her age. (5 months) I'm hoping to make it until at least 34 wks! I'm going to be extremely nervous when I hit 30 weeks.
I was around 26 wks when I found out I had a short cervix I do not remember my measurements but I had to start taking shots weekly and strict bed rest I stopped when I was 36 wks. My baby came 4 days early but made it to full term! :) good luck!
Thanks ladies! And just another question if u don't mind, how does that work if he did come this early? Like how long do they keep him in nicu and all? She hasn't put me on strict best rest yet but she said rest as much as I can n try to stay off my feet as much as possible
How is your daughter now?
My dr said he makes it to 34 weeks and they won't try to stop labor so atleast a few more weeks hopefully
Hoping for the best for both of us!
I'm on the pills. You'll know if it's in far enough. If you can feel it it's not in far enough if it's in far enough you won't feel it. (Kinda like a tampon) it should only leak maybe a few drops but not alot. If it does its not in far enough. But remember after you put it in you need to lay down for at least 30 minutes. I'm in the same situation as you with pre term labor since 23 weeks. Barely 25+1 now. Oh and the progesterone is to help your cervix.
About the pills bc i was given the progesterone shot. Sorry about the unfinished comment my phones stupid
The progesterone will help you make it further along before you deliver so baby won't be to premature if you do deliver. I had my daughter at 30w5d and while in the hospital they gave me 2 steroid shots one that day and one the next I was given meds in my IV to stop contractions and I was on bed rest until I gave birth bc I was 4cm and my water was about to break. They did that bc you're at risk for preterm labor.
