provera and ovulating

Okay this is werid for me to speak about because im so new to this fourm and have been trying for so long. I went to my Gyno the other day and told her, im having trouble getting preg and she said okay and RX'd me provera. She told me that take the meds same time everyday for seven days and then wait for my period and then call as soon as i start bleeding(no matter if its spotting or like a gush) she wants me to call. She also told me that after i call she would put me on some other meds to make me ouvlate so i said okay...what do you think my chances are the first time around?

and oh yeah

My finace and i have been trying for over a year(weve been together 6 1/2yrs) and we both are trying not to talk about the subject so we dont hype each other up

Someone please help me or talk to me about this

Yea theyve done blood work and sono's, my bloodwork from what i understand came back with hormone changes i guess and the sono showed me not producing eggs..she said that i have pcos

Well you're still young so I'm surprised your doctor prescribed ovulation medication. Your doctor needs to do more extensive tests before giving you potentially risky medications, such as Femara or Clomid. Did she say she was going to do blood tests and sonograms to see what may be preventing you from conceiving?
