pumping

I had a baby almost a week ago. She doesn't like to breastfeed so I've been pumping. Now I can't hardly pump anything. Is my milk drying up even though I pump it everyday?

I'll work on trying to get her to breastfeed, she just gets frustrated easily. What kinds of foods and drinks make me produce really good?

Pumping doesn't stimulate milk production like natural breastfeeding does. Try hand stimylating with pumping every hour, using warm rags around your breast to make the let down reflex easier, and eating certain foods and even some teas can help the body produce milk.

You can't just pump all the time and not breastfeed. Your supply with whither. Putting baby on the breast releases hormones to produce more milk.

Could happen.. It happened to me, I couldn't latch my son on so I began pumping.. I guess since it's not a natural way of sucking the milk out it started drying. The more I would pump the less I would get. Eventually i just didn't produce anymore. Try latching ur baby on.. I'm sure it'll help produce more milk..
