Willow. i had 100 at my baby shower and it looks awesome. i didnt put a pic up of the whole thing signed but it looks great.
If you live near a Burlington Coat Factory, they usualy have in stock a "belling casting kit". I got mine from online at Proudbody.com, but Burlington sells the same thing. The kits you get from there are a lot safer than getting a plaster of paris kit from a craft store. The ones from craft stores can get VERY hot, and itchy, and leave you with rashes. The ones special made won't do that. Also, proudbody sells belly paints, as well as henna supplies as well for "crafting" on the belly! I have photos of all the belly casts I did on my profile! Check them out! There were so much fun to do and paint!
Yours does look so nice! We are expecting over 80 people at our shower so I dont think having ours signed would look as nice as yours! It will probably be a crowded mess!!
I just asked my husband what he thought of doing a belly cast and he wasn't too thrilled. Lol so I guess were not.
willow, you can use the one from the shower on the wall if you paint it nicely, with your nursery colors and have everyone sign in like a nice gold or silver sharpie. my fiance did a good job with mine. check out the pic.
Hey there, I am only 10 weeks so far and I have already thought about getting the belly cast done, I can't wait!!! I think it would look nice hung in the nursery painted nicely! I hope everything goes well and you are able to do it in time!!
well we are gonna paint ours and hang it in the babyroom. my bfs mom wants me to do one everyone at the shower can sign but that'd would mean me sitting still twice haha
What do you do with the mold after its all done? I mean do you put it on the wall or what are you supposed to do with it?
also bear in mind that sooner or later the baby will seriously drop and that will change the shape of the belly mold...I would say 34-35wks is a perfect time, but even 33 would be ideal. any later than that and you run the risk of the baby dropping pretty far, and/or labor cutting your time short. :)
i did mine at like 34 weeks, my belly mold. it was fun but tiring. then my fiance painted it and everyone at my baby shower signed it. it was great. i may have posted a picture in my file of it, you can check it out
No clue if you can delete the others.
Well, I'd say, kinda be ready to do the belly mold, but wait each day to see how you feel. With my first, I could tell I was going into labor because I would get random contractions. If your having random contractions, you may want to do the mold. I first noticed I was in labor with contractions 10 min apart, that lasted for several hours till it was 5 min apart. I'm not sure how long it would take to do the belly mold.
I dont know why this keeps posting more then once! Is there a way to delete the others? Sorry!
