I vomit with a little blood last night and I end up searching about it. I think I damage my esophagus by vomiting because I use lots of pressure when I vomit. I don't understand why I vomit that way and it's sour all the time my stomach hurts like squeezing.
Acid reflux can cause longterm damage to the tissues in your esophagus if you get it as bad as I do
I only wish they would have prescribed it sooner! It has saved my life at the end of my pregnancy. I hate that I ate so many Tums for months (more than the recommended amount for pregnant women most days) just to stay sane.
I had it prescribed by my doctor. Wouldnt be able to function without it as my heartburn is so bad
I was prescribed it pre- pregnancy and used to take one maybe every 3-4 weeks when symptoms were not tolerable. I haven't taken it since pregnant even though primary doc and nurse at gyn office said it was fine. Nurse had a chart that categorized medicine risk level in pregnancy, category A having no risk at all, ranitidine falls in category B as showing no harm in animal reproduction but no human studies being available. Category C have having an adverse affect to animal reproduction but no studies on humans.
I've always said if symptoms were so intolerable I would take it but, I haven't had the need to take it. So, it's up to you and what you think is best.
I take ranitidine. Without it I wouldn't be able to function because my heartburn is so bad it makes me vomit
Im taking the ranitidne dr prescribed and said was fine for pregnancy
