I have a travel system that i got for 140....she will still be able to use the stroller when shes bigger. And we got a car seat for when she outgrows her newborn one from a friend. So i mean that helped a lot but i would just shop around for options. The travel system willcome in super handy
Id have to agree hun (not with the price) lol but the fact that an infant seat really is needed. When you shop or anything where are you going to sit a newborn who can't hold its head up? An infant seat attaches easily to the cart plus like others have mentioned dragging a sleeping baby out of a convertible car seat I can't imagine.
I've got a converter carseat for the car. It comes in and out pretty easy, and was only 100 at target. I've also got a stroller that converts too. That one came from babies r us for 50.
Also keep in mind that a lot of strollers babies will need to be able to sit up in to use...so the car seat fitting into the stroller would help a lot if you plan on needing the stroller during the first few months.
I was really set on a convertible for months until we finally picked one out..we ended up getting a travel system. I decided having a winter baby and trying to pull them out of a convertible seat while they're sleeping would be miserable. Or trying to grocery shop with no where to put them. The infant seats come in handy as they are easier to carry and have handles and such. My cousin has a 10 month old that still fits in his infant seat. Make sure you get one with a big weight capacity if that's what you choose. The one we got holds 4-35 pounds, and the stroller goes up to 60. Most babies don't weigh over 35 pounds until after they're a year old so you would be safe on this! I think our travel system was 180, and we got an extra base for 40. We got ours on Amazon, but had originally seen it at Target. Good luck!
I have the the infant carseat and stroller from my 1 year old. It makes it soo much easier when they fall asleep in the car. I used mine for almost a year and switched to a convertible. Even though it costs more I am.happy that's how we did it.
