l cant believe your daughter was born at 30weeks bet she was tiny! ye there watching me for pre-eclampsia and im back at hospital next week to see how pregnancy is progressing its just no1 never seems to explain stuff to me in great detail so it makes you worry more as im from leeds and with it been my 2nd pregnancy i hardly ever see my midwife its only since they found the leukocytes n protein i have to see a consultant every 2 weeks thanks for your advice n good luck with the rest of your pregnancy = )
leukocytes are just white blood cells and are VERY common in the urine especially when we are pregnant (according to my Dr... I have had them alot too). Alot of times they get there from normal vaginal discharge and do not signal any type of infection unless they are accompanied by nitrates which I didn't notice that you mentioned. As far as the protein... are they watching you for pre-eclampsia?? That would be my worry with protein in the urine... not a bladder infection... but then again I'm not a Dr. I would definitely ask them about it though... has your blood pressure been up?? That can be a sign too.
If it makes you feel any better, my little girl was a preemie at 30 weeks (perfectly healthy 12 year old now) due to PPROM, but my son had to be induced at 36 weeks (due to pre-eclampsia). Now I'm 32 weeks with #3... so just because you went early once doesn't mean it will happen again. Good Luck mama! Hang in there and let us know how things go!
