red marks on babies head..
Is it normal for a baby to have red blotches on the back of his neck/head? Hes 6 weeks. They dont look like birth marks and they dont feel weird or raised. I never noticed it cuz he has such long hair.
My 15 month old has this. As mentioned its called a stork bite and they generally have a matching mark on the forehead. I've been told it fades by 18 months but my friends daughter is 5 and still has hers.
Its just from the pressure of being born vaginally.

Ya its called stork bite... dont know the technical term or why it happens but its common.
