rh- blood type

So I just found out today I was pregnant. I was pregnant two years ago but had a miscarriage due to my bloodtype. They said I was rh- and that my blood cells were fighting against my baby. :( Although I am not happy about being pregnant at 20 but I dont wanto lose a second baby. Im going to make an appt tomorrow but does anyone think that the same thing could happen if I dont get an appointment asap. ? They said I need a shot everytime I get pregnant in order to keep the baby. Has anyone dealt with the same thing before ? lmk please and thank you

Im also a neg blood group I found out with my 1st 9 years ago so ive researched alot on it. I know your first pos blood group baby will be fine and aslong as you have the shots when needed and also if you have any bumps where the babys cells could pass through the placenta (as thats what causes a neg womans body to recognise the pos baby as a threat and attack it) any other pregnancies where the baby is pos will be perfectly fine. Ive had 2 baby's with a pos blood group my 3rd is neg and the one im carrying now is going to be neg so ive been told as they can now test mothers blood to determine if she will need shots.  I have miscarried 3 times where the baby just stopped growing around 5weeks but ive had blood tests done which shows i have no antibodies so ive never had a crossover, If you had never been pregnant before miscarriage its not because of your blood at all. Id get a 2nd opinion and have your blood tested for antibodies. If you plan on having more children the shots ARE nessesary!

I'm not really sure :/. I just know that my doctor talked with me about the shot a little bit in the beginning, but didn't mention it again until the appointment I actually got it. Sorry I wasn't more help!

I also have the same blood type. I have two boys and had one miscarriage. I never have had to get a shot until later in pregnancy just before delivery so our blood didn't cross.  Never heard of it causing miscarriages. Wonder if that was a factor in mine.  I was 14 weeks & they said they didn't know what caused it. Kinda scary. I'm 24 weeks now & my DR did mention I would need the shot again before delivery.  Good luck though. Hope all goes well.

Really? I wonder why I lost my baby so fast then.. I was pregnant for 4months but when I went to find out the gender they found out my baby's heartbeat stopped at two months but they said it was my bloodtype.

Yes, when I had my miscarriage they said its because my blood type was fighting against my babies bloodtype. So does that mean it depends on my babies blood type? Idk Im really worried and Im making an appt. Tomorrow but untill then Im going to be stressed. This *****

I'm rh negative also, and they didn't give me the shot until 26ish weeks. They told me I would get a 2nd dose after delivery, and that would be all. I would just talk with your doctor about it.

I have the same blood type. I denyed the shot and baby is just fine. Do they know for sure that is why you miscarried the first time? Make a doctors appointment asap to discuss this with your doctor.
