So I'm at the hospital & they did an ultrasound to make sure everything looked okay because I was bleeding, but the lady would NOT let me see the screen. And when I asked her if everything looked okay she just said she's not allowed to tell me. Like, you're supposed to make me feel better it was just a question. I've been here for 5 hours and just got my room. I just want to be treated like a person with feelings and not just another patient.

Glad to hear everything is fine. But just for future reference an ultrasound tech can lose their license if they give a patient info because they are not a doctor.

They said everything was fine & the baby is in the right place with a good heartbeat. I can understand that the ultrasound tech isnt supposed to tell you, but the look on her face didnt look good & it would be nice if they'd just let me at least peek at the screen since i've never had an ultrsound and i was scared because in my opinion they should try to make you comfortable

I was told that too when i went to the ER for bleeding, I was only 5 weeks. My ultrasound tech told me that she couldn't tell me or show me anything because the ultrasound was for diagnostic purposes only and that the doctor had to look at the results. I pray everything works out for you hun. A lot of us women tend to bleed in the beginning so try not to worry too much. Sending prayers your way.

The ultrasound tech legally can deny telling you something because the dr needs to look at the results and verify them and they have to be the ones to tell you.

They did the same thing to me when I was bleeding. They aren't allowed to tell you because they have to have a doctor verify the results. Would you want them to say everything is OK and then have a doctor call you and say its not?or vise versa
