I have a nasty head cold :( Is it safe to take Dayquil and Nyquil? Im so tired but cant sleep because of this cold :(

I dont have a week and 2 days to recover unfortunately lol. Im giving the Dr a call today though. I just eventually fell asleep from being so tired but woke up feeling disgusting. Thanks for the help

My doc said plain robitussin wen I caught a head col a couple of weeks ago. I had it really bad. Extreme headache & congestion, chills,very mild fever of n on. So I took the PLAIN ROBITUSSIN... Once every 4hrs, showered in the mornings n wiped up at night((because u will pick up another draft if u dnt have on the heat & temp drops@night)) covered my head,chest,back,&belli at ALL TIMES. My BF RUBBED ME UP WITH SOME VICKS TO help me sweat it out n loosen up my congestion... ALot....alot of orange juice + H20+ chicken soup. Wrap up!!.it took me a week & 2days to recover. After Ur over Ur sickness... Change Ur bedding!!!!.keep me posted on Ur status mama!!!!
P.S ..please take my advice...

My doctor told me it was safe to take... i have taken it and am ok.. but u need to ask ur doctor.

My Dr told me no I was sick last week he said I could take Robitussin dm

I've not heard of them, but they have to put on the packaging if its not safe, or it will say consult a doctor if pregnant. Best thing to do is ask the pharmacist and they will give you something which is safe to take.
