Induce labor!

Hello all! My friend told me about this group and I thought if give it a try! I am now 2 weeks past due and my doctor will not induce me! I am going crazy and I literally feel like I am carrying around a bowling ball in my stomach! I feel like at this point it is fair for me to try to induce myself! So any of you have any suggestions on how I can do so?

OMG u'r doc is crazy!!! After 42W the baby can start pooping inside u, and it can cause too much complications for both of you!!!
If i ware u i'll tell him " if anything happend i'll sou u and i'll make sure that u woun't be able to work as a doc ever again"lol i'm mean i know but i never shut my mouth if i felt i'm right ..
However, try what the girl suggest and wish u all the luck

Castor oil is not a good idea! It can cause your baby to have a bowel movement in the womb. My son did. He was perfectly fine, doc even let me continue with my vbac. He just required some extra cleaning.

Castor oil. Its a laxative oil that you drink. So it can cause you to go poo but if taken like I said you shouldn't poo a lot and you'll need to stay hydrated. But it can cause you to contract and go into labor. But if you take too much or don't drink enough water you can have issues. But if I was you I'd go to labor and delivery first and try that out. I have a friend who went in because she wasn't feeling her baby move and her baby was completely fine but they offered to induce since she was so far along. So you could try that.

Oh my gosh I know! My doctor is nuts! I never dreamed that I would be pregnant this long and it's horrible! I've been thinking about just going into Labor and Delivery and just being like HELLO! But everyone keeps telling me I won't be able to get around my doctor! :( what is castor oil? I have never heard of that!

So you're 42 weeks and your doctor won't induce??? That's crazy I've never heard of a doctor letting someone go past 42 weeks except in certain countries. But yes I'd say its safe. Walk, sex, bounce on an exercise ball and I'd suggest castor oil. 2tbsps in a glass of juice. Stay plenty hydrated though. Good luck
