Internal exam

I know it's common for women to spot after an internal exam, but I never did with DS, so it freaked me out a little! I just got a pelvic exam and pap smear, I'm 9w6d, they wouldn't try for the H/B, he said it was too early, and didn't want to stress me out of it wasn't there. SO, I got dressed to leave and there were a few spots of red blood on the cloth they gave me! Is that normal? Is it supposed to be red?

I know its very normal, I just never had it with my son, so it scared me! And I will warn you its very uncomfortable, haha!

I have pap nxt week n im glad I read this post... First time, n im so scared.

Thank you! I had some pink there, then a little red, now I haven't noticed it since, so hopefully it stopped, scary!!!

I spotted dark red for 9 days after my pap, scared me to death. That was at 12 weeks and I'm 21 weeks now. The doctor told me it is normal to spot, the cervix just gets irritated and since it is so vascular during pregnancy you tend to spot
