I had a miscarriage right before becoming pregnant this time so I know how nervewracking it can be.
One thing we did with sex in the first trimester was to not have DH ejaculate inside me. His sperm gave me strong cramps in the first trimester so it was a matter of comfort and safety as I was worried it could cause continual cramping. Everything I've read, though, says that sex doesn't hurt the pregnancy except in extreme cases.
We are on a no-sex restriction, actually, because I started bleeding after sex last night and went into a mild pre-term labor. I am 35 weeks (about) along, though, and have other medical problems so my case is somewhat unusual.
I hope all works out for you and your pregnancy continues to go well.
thanx guys that makes me feel a lil better! its just that i had a miscarriage, and now that i'm pregnant again i'm just making sure it wasnt because of that, u know....... i'm just scared of everything and walking on egg shells right now.
I agree with smjmekg, it doesn't matter how big he is as long as you're not told not to. It might not be very comfortable, though, as the cervix is more sensitive and changes some. I recommend using a lubricant if it's uncomfortable as that seems to ease the penis past the cervix. I don't have any medical basis for my recommendation, though, just my opinion and experience.
If you're in the last trimester and sex causes bleeding or problems you may be told to cut it out all together so I recommend being gentle with everything regardless of his size.
It doesn't matter if he's a "footlong" guy...it won't hurt the baby, they're well protected. Sex is safe during pregnancy unless your dr has told you otherwise.
