chances for twins?

I'm 8 weeks as today. My grandma and mom are both twins (fraternal). What are the chances for me to have twins? if so, when would I be able to see them with an ultrasound? I will be happy either way but I just wish it's not twins lol this is my first pregnancy

PS his are like 2nd cousins too. So you prob have high chance

I am expecting identical twins no twins on my side of the family, partner has both fraternal and identical on his. They do say it's mainly maternal to conceive twins

Twins are only genetic if they're fraternal and on the moms side so your chances of having twins sounds pretty great.. You would be able to tell at your first ultrasound because there would be two sacs. Good luck!

Apparently it's 1/17 if you're a fraternal twin and if twins run in your family.. It's 1/83 in the general population... I read this on a website when I found out I was pregnant.. Twins run in my family, I have a twin brother, but I'm pregnant with one baby lol
