Have any of you ever gotten that shot in your belly to take fluid out? To see if your baby is mature enough for early delivery? Does it hurt? They are planning on doing it to me and im nervous!

My mom had it with my sister. She said it burns, stings and is very uncomfortable. It does cause miscarriage in early pregnancy, they really only do it if necessary or requested during genetic screening. Seeing as you are in the third trimester I wouldn't worry about a miscarriage. I would just think of a happy place during the amio and think of meeting your baby.

I know somebody who got that and lost the baby.... I honestly wouldn't. If its not life threatening, I would just wait a week and have the baby at 37 weeks.
