should i just wait and watch

my last period was on the eight of feb. i did a preg test on the 14 which was positive. 5 days latter i started bleeding. I saw my gp, did a scan that day and was asked to come back two weeks later so they can check the viability of the pregnancy. did another scan on the 30th and was told i had an incomplete abortion. i decided to let it go on it own instead of going for a d and c.  more than two months later my pregnancy test is still very positive, hcg rising, baby bump, bigger boobs, not ectopic yet uterus is empty. Still spotting very ligthly  [does not even stain my undies] till today.


what should i do.

I totally understand your confusion and I bet the doctors are just as confused. They would have seen an ectopic and at 13 weeks your tube would have burst by now and YOU WOULD KNOW! This is a real mystery. keep us posted!

My doctor later suggested ectopic because my HCG was rising and all the pregnancy test both blood and urine conducted was positive.

I went to have another scan in a different hospital whose report was that my uterus was empty and that there was no case of ectopic.

he suggested i go for a diluted urine test and that if it turns out positive they will have to take some sample (fluid) from my womb to find out why the pregnancy test has been reading positive for the past 2 months.

Can some one have an ectopic pregnancy at 13 weeks and yet no pains apart from the slight bleeding.

i have been in a confused state for the past 2 months.

Wow that is really Crazy!  You should of had a D&C you recover from one the next there there easy simple and I dont have much cramping!!  They are alot less painless then letting your body doing it on its own!
But you really Need to go to your DR!!!   It really sounds like your body hasn't recognized the miscarriage!

I agree with nickieb85.  If the matter stays in there, it will start to decay and you will get really sick.   If I were you, I'd call your doctor back and tell him/her what's going on.

Wow that is a strange situation. If it was incomplete then maybe you need to have the d&c just to get the rest out of your uterus. I would definitely go to see your doctor and see what they have to say about it.
