The sleeping movements are smaller and less painful. It takes time to learn baby's patterns.

Wow ive never heard of sleeping movements. How can you tell the difference? I always just thought of they moved they were awake.
Maybe if I get up and walk it'll rock the baby back to sleep

My baby moved constantly. I eventually came to learn the difference between her awake kicks and her sleeping movements. But she moved all the time! Some babies are just more active than others.
