sick and pregnant what medicines can I take

I'm sick I have a cold and I can't sleep and I have regular panic attacks, what can I take to sleep and get rid of this stuffed up nose. I can't breathe and it's super annoying. Please Help. :(

Awww lellieann I'm sorry you have a cold :( I completely sympathize!  I also have a cold and I keep getting them no matter how much hand sanitizer I use LOL. I was told Tylenol cold products were fine, use a humidifier, you can use original afrin if your nose is too stuffy. Warm water clothes on your face can help too. Feel better!!

yes I remember my husband and daughter not getting sick at all and I was DYING with cold symptoms...that wash cloth will work wonders I promise...I sure hope you feel better hon I'm so so sorry you feel sick :(

Thank you so much for the advice on the meds and the tips with the steam I will definitely give them a try. My husband is getting me a warm wash cloth right now. Thank you. I agree the colds seek out the pregnant women, cause my son and husband are just fine.

I meant to add that the wash cloth should be warm (as warm as you can handle it) AND damp..fold it in half and put the majority of it over your eyes and sinuses, and then pull a little bit of it over your nostrils so you're inhaling the moisture as well...it will help to soften the mucus in your sinuses and drain them.

You can take benedryl and pretty much all of the Tylenol Cold products. When you get to the pharmacy, ask the pharmacist what is considered safe just to be extra careful, but I believe those are the ones my doctor said were safe. I had awful colds both pregnancies and managed to hack it without any meds but I took a lot of steam showers (sitting in the bathroom with the shower on to create steam), used a lot of saline drops, and spent most of my time with a warm wash cloth over my sinuses (HIGHLY recommend this..it feels AMAZING).

I'm so sorry you're sick :( it seems like colds just LOVE pregnant women!
