They recommend you put them on their back to decrease the risk of sids. Also I believe they stopped selling positioners. I have one and my friend told me they stopped selling them.

Both my kids slept on their sides. I had the positioner thing with my first but I only used that for a few weeks before she'd just lay on her side on her own. My son just laid on his side on his own even if I tried to put him on his side

I did it with both my girls and plan to with this babe.  I didn't use anything to prop them up on their side.  Just positioned them so they were naturally on the side.  To avoid flat head on one side, I alternated sides during naps and bedtime.  I too don't like the thought of having babe on their back all the time.  My first was colicky and pukey and I wasn't going to take any chances.

My daughter is almost 10 weeks and a lot of the time only falls asleep on her stomach. I watch her and flip her over before my hubby and I go to bed.

There are some positioners you can still buy, but some of them.iv found were not being sold anymore.
It's really what your comfortable with. My daughter will go into her side sometimes when I put her in.her crib.

It's best to put them on their backs to sleep to reduce the risk of SIDS. Also, they don't recommend pillows, positioners, stuffed animals, crib bumpers or blankets in the crib. Basically just a crib sheet and you can dress them in a wearable blanket when it's cold out. We were going to get an adorable crib bedding set, but it's too much to risk for a cute nursery in my opinion.

I did this with BOTH my boys.  Sleeping on their backs scared me because of the what if's.  I had a positioner thingy that I put them in between to keep them that way too.  It made me feel better!  Nothing wrong with it in my eyes.  I will probably do it with this one too if i can find a new positioner!
